Detect drones crossing contested waters with Selmak
Buoy-mounted passive air-acoustic sensor
Selmak floats on a moored buoy and listens for hostile drone aircraft crossing contested waters.
How Selmak works
Selmak carries the same passive air-acoustic sensing as Chorus on a moored maritime buoy. Anchored along a coastline, strait, or maritime boundary, it listens for the air vibrations of drone aircraft passing overhead.
Because Selmak detects aircraft by their sound alone, it detects drones that emit no RF, including fiber-optic and fully autonomous drones.
Schedule
Early prototypes for Selmak are scheduled for demo in 2027.
