Back to All Careers.

Soundryx builds rugged, low-cost acoustic sensors that detect small drones and other threats across vast areas.

As our Forward-Deployed Engineer for Spanish Markets, you'll be the technical face of Soundryx in Latin America and Spain.

What You'll Do

  • Close deals on the ground: Travel to Spanish-speaking countries to meet with major private infrastructure firms and government agencies, delivering technical presentations and demonstrations.
  • Bridge two worlds: Understand complex customer requirements in Spanish and translate them into clear, actionable English specifications for our engineering team.
  • Write for impact: Create sales collateral, technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials in Spanish—ensuring our platform is accessible to Spanish-speaking operators.
  • Be the technical expert: Answer deep technical questions about acoustic sensing, system architecture, and deployment scenarios in real-time during customer engagements.
  • Own the feedback loop: Gather field insights and customer pain points, then work with product and engineering to prioritize features and improvements.
  • Deploy and support: Assist with pilot installations, training customer teams, and troubleshooting issues in the field.

What You Know

  • Native or fluent Spanish: You can speak, write, and understand technical concepts in Spanish at a professional level.
  • Programming foundation: Software engineering experience in at least one popular language--such as Python, JavaScript, C, C++, Go, Rust, or similar.
  • Physics fundamentals: Solid grasp of electromagnetism, waves, acoustics, and mechanics.
  • Math literacy: Comfortable with linear algebra and differential equations—you understand the theory behind signal processing and can discuss it credibly.
  • Customer-facing experience: You've worked directly with customers, partners, or users—ideally in technical sales, solutions engineering, or field engineering roles.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in Latin American or Spanish markets, defense/security/critical infrastructure sectors, or technical writing.

Additional Requirements

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, or willingness and ability to obtain shortly after joining (we’ll reimburse and train).
